This was my first experience with Houdini. Following a tutorial – by Robert Magee – I created a shattering glass with a fluid simulation. Despite some minor difficulties, I had a lot of fun with it. Below is a second version where I tried to do a small camera animation. With this loop and speed, it was difficult to avoid awkward movements. I also wanted the liquid to look like liquid metal for the second render.
Below you can see another simulation I have started to create, also with the help of a tutorial – by Voxyde VFX. Later it will be an ash disintegration. This is the demo version to understand the basic structure. I want to create a complete and more complex version. But that will take some time as I want to get more familiar with Houdini and all the nodes.
